RU Student Community Liaisons
Community liaisons work to more effectively bridge the RU campus with the Radford, New River Valley and Southwest Virginia communities. The students who serve as community liaisons will facilitate RU student involvement in these communities, providing a rich learning experience for students while also assisting these communities in some of the challenges and opportunities facing them.
Major responsibilities include: promoting service-learning and volunteerism to the campus community, and facilitating discussions and activities around service experiences. Through this work you will help RU students develop greater social and civic responsibility; develop greater awareness of social and environmental issues; and meet others interested in service, local communities, social justice, and environmental responsibility.
