The Waldron College of Health and Human Services (WCHHS) community will gather for its fourth annual Interprofessional Symposium and Expo (IPS&E) on April 11 in Heth Hall.

Radford University President Brian O. Hemphill will keynote the daylong celebration of original research and service by the WCHHS faculty and students.

Themed “celebrating interprofessional scholarship and service,” the IPS&E brings together the Schools of Nursing and Social Work, the Communication Sciences and Disorders and Occupational Therapy departments and the Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Nursing Practice and RN-to-BSN programs for a series of oral, poster and roundtable sessions.

“We always look forward to this chance to showcase the research, scholarly work and service performed by the college’s dynamic faculty and students in its programs,” said WCHHS Dean Kenneth Cox.

The IPS&E will include 21 podium presentations and almost 80 poster presentations from graduate and undergraduate students and faculty.

“The programs and presentations featured demonstrate the natural collaboration between students, faculty and clinical partners that integrate scholarship into teaching and service,” said WCHHS Associate Dean Corey Cassidy.

Also featured at the Expo will be more than 30 participating organizations representing health care and community service organization in the public and private sectors.
