Radford University School of Nursing (SON) Emeriti Professor Marcella Griggs was honored by DePaul Community Resources with its Immeasurable Impact Award. 

At the organization's 15th Annual Women of Achievement Awards Luncheon recently in Roanoke, Griggs, a former SON Director, was recognized along with nine other women from diverse segments of the community for their contributions, dedication and commitment to improving the region's quality of life.

The Immeasurable Impact Award recognized Griggs’ involvement in numerous volunteer efforts that manifest her motto, “Give while you live.”  Virginia Senator Mark Warner also recognized Griggs for her work as nursing professor, SON Director and volunteer.

DePaul Community Resources is a nonprofit human services organization that opens doors to hope and belonging for children, families and individuals with disabilities. Since 1977, DePaul’s services, including foster care, adoption, and developmental disabilities services, have provided safe homes, permanent families, integrated community support and opportunities for healing throughout Central and Western Virginia.
