Joggin For Your Noggin' 5k on tap for March 19

run begins
Runners step off in last year's Joggin for Your Noggin 5K. The 2016 race is set for March 19.

Join brain injury survivors for a work out in the fresh air in support of Brain Injury Services of Southwest Virginia (BISSWVA).

The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) will host its second annual Joggin' For Your Noggin 5K on March 19 at Bisset Park.

Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. and the one mile Fun Run - open to any child under the age of 12 - will step off at 9 a.m. The 5K will begin at 9:15 a.m. followed by an award ceremony and raffle prize drawings.

For information, please visit the race registration page.  The registration fee is $25 for the 5K and $15 for the 1-mile run.

"It's a fun, healthy way for the Radford campus and community to get behind a great cause," said Amy Weldon, event coordinator and second-year graduate communication sciences and disorders student.

Proceeds benefit BISSWVA,  an organization helping local brain injury survivors and their families make a positive, measurable difference in survivors’ abilities to fulfill their service potential and become reintegrated into society.
