Advisory on parking and security at Radford University on Monday Feb. 29

A presidential campaign event is scheduled for noon Monday, Feb. 29, at the Dedmon Center on the Radford University campus. Below is information designed to ensure attendees arrive safely and promptly to the event.

Traffic:

Attendees are encouraged to carpool and consider alternate transportation as available parking will be limited. Visitors will be directed to turn off Tyler Avenue onto Jefferson Street. Traffic will then be directed to turn left onto East Main Street, then right onto University Drive to the Dedmon Center.

Parking:

Event visitor parking will be in Lot DC and Lot Z near the Dedmon Center.

The public is directed to enter the Dedmon Center at the North Entrance (river entrance).

Access to the venue:

The event begins at noon, doors will open at 10 a.m.

The University has been advised that backpacks, book bags, bottles and cans are prohibited. Signs are allowed into the event but they must not be on sticks or poles. Attendees should anticipate security screening measures including bag searches and the use of magnetometers.
