Summer sessions in swing at Radford University

Summer has come to the Radford University campus but that doesn't mean that learning stops. The university's summer sessions are underway and students are hard at work getting ahead in their academic careers.

Radford University offers five sessions during the summer: Maymester, Summer I, Summer II, Summer III and Augustmester. Many students find that taking classes in the summer eases up their course load during other semesters, allowing them to ensure they graduate on time or even early.

Some rising freshmen are getting to work before they even move to campus. Augustmester sessions allow students, including rising freshman with 3.5 high school GPAs and above, to take an online class before arriving on campus. Completing one of the sought-after courses ensures students start a new semester with three credit hours already in their pockets.

Of course, it's not all about hitting the books. Students enrolled in summer sessions who remain in Radford still have access to fitness classes in Student Recreation and Wellness Center, intramural sports and RU Outdoors excursions.
