Honor someone who is Keep'n It Green

Do you know someone who has been Keep'n It Green?

If so, the Radford University Staff Senate wants to hear from you. The Staff Senate is now taking nominations for its fifth annual Keep'n It Green Award, which honors and recognizes an RU employee who exemplifies sustainability initiatives at the university.

Award criteria are based on one or more of the following: energy and water conservation, waste reduction/recycling, behavior change and/or awareness, and economic impact.

Classified and 1,500-hour staff are eligible for the award. A nomination form can be found online at the Staff Senate website.

The deadline to submit entries is on April 22, Earth Day. The Keep'n It Green Award winner will be announced at the annual Radford University staff picnic in May.

"We encourage all staff and faculty to nominate their peers who have contributed in the success of sustainability initiatives on campus," said Radford Recycling Coordinator Pavan Muddanna.
