RU hosts Ignite Leadership Conference

Scores of student leaders from Radford University clubs and organizations attended the third annual Ignite Leadership Conference on campus on April 11.

Sponsored by the Department of Student Activities, the conference provided students an opportunity to learn and develop skills from various facets of leadership and engage with other student leadership on campus.

This year's conference included three separate educational blocks, each featuring a choice of three to five presentations by RU faculty, staff and students. Session topics included networking, relationships, conflict resolution, communications and event planning.

Dr. Lea E Williams, renowned leader on the topic of servant leadership, served as the keynote speaker.

"The conference was everything we had hoped for and more" said RU's Director of Student Involvement Robert Bedford. "In the final analysis, leadership development isĀ self-development."
