Students dine on local grub at Dalton Kitchen
Dalton Kitchen recently participated in Radford University's Service and Sustainability Week by featuring a menu full of local food items.
On Monday, Sept. 8, the dining hall offered fruits, vegetables, herbs and even tofu from area orchards and farms.
Signs placed near the bountiful display of local tomatoes, apples, peaches, nectarines, watermelons, basil and organic Italian herb tofu instructed students on where the food was harvested and highlighted the importance of supporting local farms and businesses.
Service and Sustainability events conclude Sunday, Sept. 13, with the Selu Conservancy Organic Garden Work Day.
