Ignite! Student Leadership Conference is putting out the call for presenters

This year's Ignite! Student Leadership Conference will take place on Saturday, March 29, and the Department of Student Activities is seeking proposals from all faculty, staff members and students for educational sessions during the conference.

The conference on leadership skills is geared toward emerging student leaders and students who may not yet be in leadership roles. As a result, proposals that feature faculty and staff with co-presenting students have priority.

Ignite! sessions are approximately 30 minutes long and deal with practical skills necessary for good leadership. Some topics include running meetings, team building, budgeting, types of leadership, ethics, motivation, goal setting, fundraising and more.

Applicants are welcome to submit proposals to present on one of these topics, or any other that would benefit new and potential student leaders.

Proposals can be submitted online or paper submissions can be picked up/dropped off to the SOAR office in the Hurlburt Student Center Room 235. All submissions (paper and electronic) are due by Monday, Feb. 24, at 3 p.m.
