Governor appoints new member to RU Board Of Visitors

Gov. Terry McAuliffe announced the appointment of a new member to the Radford University Board of Visitors (BOV).

Christopher Wade, of Fairfax, serves as Chief Operating Officer of Aeronomy. He has served on the Business and Community Advisory Council for the Fairfax County Public Schools and currently serves as a board member of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce. Since May 2009, Wade has served as an adjunct professor in the School of Management at George Mason University.

Radford University President Penelope W. Kyle welcomed Wade as a new member to the RU board. "I am pleased to welcome Christopher Wade to the Radford University Board of Visitors. He is joining us at an exciting time for our institution and we look forward to working with him as we strive to meet the higher education goals of the Commonwealth, our University and our students," said Kyle.

Wade earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Studies from the University of Notre Dame in 1994 and later completed a Master of Business Administration at George Mason University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, in 2009.

Wade has previously worked as senior manager for the Financial Management and Performance Improvement Business Unit at the Morgan Franklin Corporation; program manager for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC); Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer for NetStrategies; and Director of Product Management for NTT Communications.

Wade was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Michael Hurt '94 through June 30, 2017.
