Sister and brother graduate together

Siblings Hannah Anderson and Joshua Anderson, 2013 Dean’s Scholars in the Radford University College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences (CHBS), will receive Bachelor of Arts degrees this weekend at Spring Commencement.

In a video, the sister and brother from Riner share some of their RU experiences, speaking with frequent laughter and occasional tears about the emotional nuances of the May 11 event, which will celebrate individual achievement and mark a transition for more than 1,300 graduate and undergraduate students.

Hannah will graduate summa cum laude and as a Highlander Scholar in English. Joshua will graduate with distinction in foreign languages and political science. Also, Joshua was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army at Friday’s ROTC ceremony.

Meet the Andersons in the video and hear them tell their story. Also hear other 2013 graduates' accounts of their experiences at Radford University and their plans for the future.
