Board of Visitors to meet May 9 and 10

The Radford University Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly meeting on Thursday and Friday, May 9 and 10, 2013. The board and committee meetings will be in the Martin Hall Board Room (third floor) on the university campus, starting at 9 a.m. each day.

The board and committees will hear budget reports and revenue forecasts as well as updates on academic and student affairs, athletics, university advancement and information technology. Scheduled briefings and presentations include:

  • a report on the enrollment forecast for Fall 2013.
  • consideration and approval of tenure for faculty who were recommended by their departments and colleges.
  • Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission (VLEPSC) state reaccreditation award to the Radford University Police Department, currently one of only three university police departments with VLEPSC accreditation.
  • a presentation by the senior class president to honor the 100th class to graduate from Radford University since its founding.

The board is also expected to establish the cost of attending Radford University for the 2013-14 academic year.
