While Bryan Kling '12 was growing up in Chesapeake, he always had a passion for helping people. After a chance audition in Newport News, Kling now has the opportunity that could help him do just that. He is a "Top 20" semi-finalist to become the next Face of Fox43.

Not long ago, Kling's mother saw a commercial advertising the Next Face of Fox 43 contest. The first audition was held with more than 100 people auditioning for three weeks. Kling was in first place at the end of round one and voting for round two is now underway. The winner of the one-year contract as the next Face of Fox43 will be in responsible for social media, attending community events, taking pictures, interviewing celebrities and more.

Kling said, "This competition is a good opportunity for Hampton Roads to grow as a community.  My reason for doing this is because of my desire to bring Hampton Roads to new heights, and give the kids someone they can look up to." He believes that he is best fit to represent Fox43, its sponsors, and those living in the "seven cities" because he is "…a fun-loving guy, who also knows what it takes to be professional."

His Highlander education was exactly what he needed to succeed as the next Face of Fox43, Kling says.  "It was wonderful to have the privilege to attend school at Radford where there is such a close connection between the professors and students. It gave me opportunities that I wouldn't have had at many larger universities," he says.

The second round of voting extends until July 14th at midnight.
