Wintermester term is open for registration

Radford University's innovative Wintermester term is open for registration for students interested in catching up or getting ahead in their classes over break. The inter-session program offers students a five-week online mini-term between fall and spring semesters.

Classes commence on Dec. 17, 2013, and continue through Jan. 14, 2014. Students can register for classes through Dec. 18. For more information about registration and course offerings, visit the Wintermester website.

RU originally launched Wintermester in December 2012. It was designed to help students progress more quickly in their degree programs by providing a variety of course offerings that can be taken for up to 18 credit hours. All instruction is conducted online and allows RU students to take a class while at home during winter break. Classes taught during Wintermester sessions make innovative use of technology and teaching resources.

Wintermester was one of 10 programs recognized in the 2013 edition of the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia's (SCHEV) "Innovation in Higher Education" as a program that created or enhanced opportunities to lead to more college graduates, greater employability and a strong economy for the future of all Virginians.
