National Hazing Prevention Week

Kicking off National Hazing Prevention Week at 5 p.m. today, Professors Stephen Owen and Tod Burke of the Department of Criminal Justice will lead a session in the Bonnie Auditorium titled "Hazing: Is This Your Legacy?"

On Wednesday, Mindy Sopher will speak at 8 p.m. in Bondurant Auditorium at Preston Hall on "Getting to the Heart of Hazing." Sopher is an instructor and academic advisor at North Carolina State University.

Both presentations are free and open to the public.

Through Friday, members of Greek Life and student athletes will be staffing a table in the Bonnie from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to speak with students about hazing and to hand out information about the issue.
