For the second year in a row, RU Professor Bruce Chase, director of the university's Governmental and Nonprofit Assistance Center (GNAC), has been named a Super CPA in the Educator category by the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA).
"I am honored to again earn this recognition from my professional peers," said Chase, who has won the award in four of the past six years. "I believe the university’s outreach and accounting programs have gained recognition across the state, and this award reflects success in our programs."
Chase was selected in a poll of more than 7,000 VSPCA members. Super CPAs were named in 12 categories based on their contributions to the profession and the prosperity of the Commonwealth of Virginia. He will be featured in a special Super CPAs report in the November 2012 issue of Virginia Business magazine.
