Campus offices in need of supplies or wanting to get rid of excess inventory can do so at an office-supply exchange, sponsored by RU Recycling at its table at the RU Earth Day Festival.
"Our motto is reduce, reuse and recycle," said Stan Wilkinson, RU Recycling coordinator. "This is a chance for faculty and staff to shed stuff that is clogging valuable shelf space or pick up some needed supplies without spending money."
Wilkinson said RU faculty and staff members can select or drop off a variety of general office supplies by presenting a valid RU ID. The exchange will include pens, folders, staplers and other office items but not furniture, he said.
The office-supply swap is one of a number of RU Earth Day Festival events on Thursday, April 19, from 2 to 7 p.m. on Heth Lawn. The celebration will include live music by Mokey Doris, Whiskey Tango, and Matt Jones and the Bobs, the annual campus tree planting ceremony and much more. The festival's co-sponsors are the Environmental Club and the RU Student Government Association (SGA).
