Career Services Teams up with UVA for Diversity Career Day

Radford University students are invited to the University of Virginia's annual Diversity Career Day on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville.

RU Career Services is offering free transportation from Radford to Charlottesville for the event to the first 50 students to sign up at HireAHighlander. Registration is required by Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Diversity Career Day is a statewide internship and opportunity fair open to students at colleges and universities across Virginia and Washington, D.C. The Diversity Career Day website lists more than 150 corporations, nonprofit organizations and government agencies that are seeking candidates with diverse backgrounds. The RU Center for Diversity and Inclusion, as well as the Office of Student Support Services are also co-sponsors of the event.

Radford students registered on HireAHighlander can also enter the "RU Dressed for Success?" contest. Winners will receive an RU portfolio, professional photograph and $15 toward lunch at the Diversity Career Day. Learn more on the Career Services website.
