Stephen Long

During my time at Radford, I have always been able to gain one-on-one time with my professors. Within my major, all of my professors and classmates know my name. I feel that this creates a stronger learning environment."

Ever since community college, Stephen Long knew that Radford University was the right choice for his career ambitions. Radford's affordability, size and location appealed to Long, and he knew that at Radford he would receive the individual attention and high quality education that would lead him to become a successful graphic designer.

"What I like most about attending Radford University is the availability of my professors. Being at a mid-sized university means smaller classes; I have always been able to gain one-on-one time with my professors when needed," explains Long. "Within my major, all of my professors and classmates know my name. I feel that this creates a much better and stronger learning environment."

Radford's small class sizes and desirable student to faculty ratio have enabled Long to succeed. Long participates in student art shows, consistenly makes the Dean's list and is a member of the national honor society, Phi Kappa Phi.
