Congratulations to the Graduates of the Class of 2017!
May 3, 2017
I write to you as you anxiously prepare for this week's Commencement Ceremony and other activities. I know that you, as well as your family, friends and loved ones, are very excited to celebrate this significant milestone as you transition in both your personal and professional lives.
I look forward to celebrating with each of you during the University's Commencement Ceremony to be held this Saturday (May 6, 2017) beginning at 10 a.m. on Moffett Lawn.
I also look forward to attending each of the College Commencement ceremonies to be held later the same day. However, due to the concurrent nature of all the College Commencement ceremonies, I unfortunately will only be able to attend each ceremony for approximately 15 to 20 minutes so that I may share this special moment with you and your fellow graduates. Please know that I would be honored to personally shake each of your hands as you walk across the stage if I had an opportunity to do so.
As you leave Radford University, please know that you have my continued support and positive encouragement. No matter where life takes you … you will always be a Highlander!
With Highlander Pride,
Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D.
