Highlander Scholar: Juliana Utz
Graduated: 2010
Major: Dance
Since Graduation: I am currently a second year graduate student at The College at Brockport, State University of New York where I am pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts in Dance-Performance and Choreography. Since graduating I have choreographed many works for the College of Brockport and have performed in a vast number of productions. I am very involved in choreographing dances for the community and have performed my work in Brockport and Rochester NY. Last semester I had the opportunity to co-teach an Introduction to Dance course to freshman students at Brockport. Being back in Virginia this summer I have been teaching many dance classes and have also been involved with choreographing the city of Fredericksburg’s summer musical. This fall I will return to SUNY Brockport to continue my rigorous dance training and education. I look forward to earning my MFA and one day fulfill my dream of being a dance professor.
