Intent to Dually Enroll

This form is to be used only by students that have been admitted or have applied  to the RU Roanoke Campus 2+2 programs OR the Martinsville dual enrollment programs and who are required to take college classes at another college at the same time as part of their Radford University special degree program.  Students should complete and return this form each year that they take classes in these programs and should submit this form to the Financial Aid Office at the time that the student applies for financial aid.  Admission into the special programs will be confirmed with the Registrar's Office prior to processing of this application.  You will need to follow the undergraduate application process to apply for financial aid.

In addition to this form, the student must have their advisor complete the “APPROVAL FOR TRANSFER CREDIT” form each semester that he/ she plans to dually enroll.  This form is also available on the Financial Aid website (www.radford.edu/~finaid) under forms.  The “Approval for Transfer Credit” form must be completed and returned to the RU Financial Aid Office before April 1 for Summer School, July 1 for Fall, and November 1 for Spring.

By submitting this form, I understand that:

  • I must also have my advisor complete and submit the “Approval for Transfer Credit” by the deadline dates.
  • I will not receive financial aid funds for hours from the other college until my financial aid application has been finalized by the RU Financial Aid Office and my enrollment has been confirmed at the participating college and at Radford University.  Confirmation of classes will occur no earlier than the second week of classes.  Students’ applications that require verification may delay funds longer than the second week of classes.
  • If I withdraw from my dual enrollment classes, I must notify the RU Financial Aid Office immediately.  I understand that withdrawing from classes may affect my future eligibility for financial aid.  The RU Standards of Academic Progress for Financial Aid Recipients can me found on the web at www.radford.edu/~finaid/news14.htm. 
  • I am responsible for payment of tuition at the dual enrollment college.
  • I understand that I must request that the Registrar’s Office at the dual enrollment college must send an academic transcript to the RU Registrar’s Office at the end of each semester that I take classes at a dual enrollment college.
  • I understand that I must enroll and complete at least 3 hours at RU per semester.  If I withdraw from all classes that I am registered for at RU I will be considered a university withdrawal and will be ineligible for the dual enrollment program. 
  • I understand that changes to expected enrollment must be submitted in writing to the RU Financial Aid Office and may cause delays in processing financial aid.
