Congratulations to theatre alum Reagan Burns and all those involved with Disney's "Dog with a Blog" show. They are once again nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program.

MFA art alumna Suzanne Guppy showed her work in New York at the Bowery Gallery’s 47th season exhibition of recent paintings and works on paper by its member artists.

Holly Cline, chair of the Department of Design, is on the inaugural College Art Association's Committee on Design.  

On Sept. 24, at the Poe Film Festival in Richmond, adjunct theatre professor Sean Kotz is part of a panel discussion after a screening of short films.

In August, Uncubed’s daily online tech magazine Wakefield featured an interview with assistant professor of design Kristin Machac about Radford University’s MFA in Design Thinking.

Guitar music alumnus Kareem McCullough is now a fulltime guitar teacher at Loudoun County High School in Leesburg, Virginia. He says he has come full-circle since he first discovered Radford University when he was a student at that school and heard the university’s Guitar Ensemble perform.

Design alumna, Anne Nicholson, won second place in the Sherwin-Williams 2016 Student Design Challenge.

Halide Salam, professor of art, along with MFA graduate student Kevin Kwon, and art alumnae Clara Heaton are teaming up to exhibit their work. This exhibition is called “A Sense of Place” and is at the Aurora Studio Center in Roanoke. The show runs Sept. 2-20 with an opening reception on Sept. 2 at 5 p.m.

Graphic design professor Ken Smith participated in Voice of America's American Cafe podcast about the symbology of the Black Lives Matter Movement.

“Colors: Collages, paintings and drawings,” assistant professor of art, Knic Umstead’s recent exhibition is at Glencoe Museum and Gallery in Radford until Oct. The opening reception is Sept. 1 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Shaun Whiteside, assistant professor of art, is showing his work in “Selfless – A bicoastal conversation between painter Shaun Whiteside and printer Delia Salomon” at Fleda A. Ring Artworks in Roanoke. This is on exhibit until Sept. 30.
