Prospective Art Students

Whether you plan to become a studio artist, a graphic designer, an art historian or an art teacher, the Department of Art is here to help you reach your goals. We offer studio programs in ceramics, drawing, jewelry metalsmithing, painting, watercolor and pastels, and photography. In graphic design, courses include branding, typography, packaging design, illustration, digital painting and more. Our art history and museum studies concentration prepares you for graduate work in the humanities. With our concentration in education, students gain the opportunity for certification in art education for teaching at elementary and secondary levels. If you are interested in art therapy, get your fundamenrtal art background here and combine it with a major in psychology.

We also offer an MFA in Studio Arts.
