Application Configuration Operations Management Intern

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking an Application Configuration Operations Management (ACOM) Intern to join the Global Information Security & Privacy organization in the Northern Virginia area, just outside Washington DC. This position will report to the Senior Manager of the ACOM Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) team and will assist in developing, implementing and managing an enterprise-wide risk and compliance management strategy to secure Sony’s information assets, services, and the products that depend on them, building trust with customers and stakeholders, and protecting the privacy of Sony’s customers and employees.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with GRC tool end user support and development
  • Assist with researching, designing, developing, and testing applications that utilize the SOAP and RESTful API in order to integrate and enhance the GRC platform
  • Support data management activities
  • Tracking requirements, progress, and communication through JIRA through the lifetime of any issue or enhancement request
  • Document training manuals, materials in support of GRC tool deployments, and changes to any existing or new API applications

Qualifications

  • Working towards an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security or Information Assurance, and/or a related field with strong academic performance
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Java, C#, or Python desirable
  • Experience with SOAP and/or RESTful APIs and the .NET framework
  • Experience in designing systems that can be easily updated as the APIs resources are created and/or removed
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and quickly apply new concepts to accomplish assignments
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience through work or internship preferred

Cyber Security Analyst Intern

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst Intern to assist the Service Management team within the Global Information Security & Privacy organization with cyber security activities, analysis and coordination. The Service Management team is a key part of Sony’s program to secure its information assets, services, and the products that depend on them, building trust with customers and stakeholders and protecting the privacy of Sony’s customers. This is a position for those interested in pursuing a career in cyber security on a global scale.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in security tool implementation, integration, and performance evaluation
  • Review of security tool outputs, alerts, alarms, and reports
  • Security log and event analysis
  • Analyze system events, security alerts, and network activity, evaluate detection mechanisms 
  • Participate in cyber security activities, communication, and coordination across the Sony Enterprise
  • Work with the various teams to gather, evaluate, analyze, and report on metrics to ensure performance of security service delivery and identify trends

Qualifications

People Operations Intern

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a People Operations Intern to join the Global Information Security & Privacy organization in the Northern Virginia area, just outside Washington DC. This position will report to the Analyst, Organizational Development within the Office of the CISO and be a part of the team responsible for business and people operations supporting activities to build a world-class global information security organization. This internship will provide the successful applicant with a challenging and rewarding opportunity assist with human capital projects, recruitment support, and administrative tasks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the development and documentation of human capital projects, such as employee retention programs, events planning, and workforce development
  • Assist with recruitment activities, such as screening candidate resumes, scheduling interviews, and corresponding with candidates
  • Perform daily administrative duties in support of the Office of the CISO team

Risk Management Intern

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Risk Management Intern to join the Global Information Security & Privacy organization in the Northern Virginia area, just outside Washington DC. This position will report to the Asst. Director, Risk Management and will assist in conducting risk assessments and policy management to secure Sony’s information assets, services, and the products that depend on them, building trust with customers and stakeholders, and protecting the privacy of Sony’s customers and employees.

Job responsibilities

  • Support with process flow diagrams and documentation related to policy management
  • Assist with mapping existing security standards to the Cyber Security Framework and, SANS Security controls, and assist with importing this information into Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools
  • Participate in internal and external risk assessments
  • Document user guides and process flow diagrams

Security Operations Intern
