The Center for the Sciences building

The new, $49 million, 114,000 square foot Center for the Sciences on the Radford University Campus is now open.  Classes began in January 2016 in the building and it has been home to a number of special events and outreach efforts.

Moving forward, the Center for the Sciences will transform the Radford University College of Science and Technology into a premier science destination for:

  • serious students interested in conducting original research with faculty mentors, and learning from award winning professors in the classroom
  • students seeking to use twenty-first century research equipment and techniques to seek solutions to our community’s, Commonwealth’s, nation’s and world’s problems
  • science teachers and Virginia citizens interested in taking advantage of our unique outreach facilities for science education
