    The research project, spearheaded by Richard Gruss of the Davis College of Business and Economics, examines some of the elements that make one sales pitch succeed over another. Gruss recently drafted four acting students from the College of Visual and Performing Arts to present fictional pitches, which were used to help gather data.

    The co-owners of breweries from Radford and Christiansburg were on campus Oct. 16 for the annual World Food Day Lecture Symposium. The theme was “Water is Life, Water is Food,” but the discussion covered a variety of topics related to sustaining a business in today’s markets.
