Minors

A general management minor is designed to provide students the skills and competencies needed as professional managers.   The minor is available to both business and non-business students.

A minor in entrepreneurship is designed to provide students with the skill sets needed to effectively create and manage business opportunities. The entrepreneurship minor is open to all non-business students.

The minor in Human Resources Management offers majors in the Davis College of Business and Economics the opportunity to complement the skill sets acquired in their major with additional skill sets for career advancement in applied human resource management (e.g., Staffing, Performance Appraisal, Organizational Development, & Analytics).

 

Data analytics is the process of analyzing raw data in order to draw out meaningful, actionable insights, which can be used to inform and drive smart decisions which enhance performance and help gain a competitive advantage. Data analytics is a highly sought-after skill that is widely used in almost every field, including business, art, music, sports, investing, health care, politics, criminal justice, and many more. This minor helps provide students with the skills they need to visualize and analyze data so they can tell more compelling stories and make decisions that enhance the performance of individuals and organizations.
