Students came to the Bonnie Thursday, Oct. 17 to gain valuable career advice from RU Sociology Alumni who were offering their "Voices of Experience" in the annual career panel presented by the Department of Sociology and the Center for Social and Cultural Research.


Jess Chandler (Class of 2012) is a Therapeutic Day Treatment clinician employed by New River Valley Community Services and based at Belle Heth Elementary School in Radford. NRVCS is a public provider of behavioral health services to residents of the New River Valley.


Heather Wright (Class of 2013) is a Research Assistant for the Computing Research Association's Center for Evaluating the Research Pipeline in Washington, D.C.


Alicia Ring (Class of 2009) earned her MAEd in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Virginia Tech and is a Counselor for the Student Support Services program at Wytheville Community College.


James Dye (Class of 2007) earned a post-graduate certificate in Information Systems at Virginia Commonwealth University and is a Data Analyst for the fund raising department at the College of William and Mary.
