Dr. I-Ping Fu has been selected to serve as the new department chair for Radford University's College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.  The department is heading into their strategic planning process and Dr. Fu will be leading them through that.  Dr. Fu is a specialist in Chinese language instruction and has been very active in planning and hosting Chinese cultural events at Radford University.  We are very fortunate to have her as a member of our faculty.

In her announcement of Dr. Fu's selection as new department chair, Dr. Kate Hawkins, Dean of the College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences, also thanked Dr. Philip Sweet for his many years of service as chair of the Foreign Language and Literatures department.  She wished him well as he returns to a full-time role as a member of the FL&L faculty.
