Dr. Mary Ferrari


Professor of History

Mary Ferrari received her doctorate from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.  She teaches courses in colonial and Revolutionary American history, as well as classes on colonial Latin America, American women's history, and Virginia history. She has published articles on various aspects of Charleston during the revolutionary period.  Her current research project is a chapter on Mary Draper Ingles for a book on Virginia women.  The excellence of her instruction has been recognized with the College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences Distinguished Teaching Award.
