Approximate Time Commitment: 15-20 hours/week
Crimson Fly, Inc. is currently accepting applications to fill a Community and Web Analyst Internship. This position will work as a remote intern under our “User Engagement” department. Community and Web Analyst interns are expected to collaborate on the development and execution of social media and digital measurement programs for multiple clients in varied industries. Candidates must be able to operate efficiently in a group, as well as execute assigned tasks independently. Interns must exhibit exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills. Community and Web Analyst interns are also expected to work closely with project managers to deliver assignments, research, and data summaries within agreed upon time and cost parameters. Deep passion and enthusiasm for social media is a must.
-Monitor and evaluate social media results on a daily basis in coordination with client and account team goals. This includes traffic, followers, and reach growth analysis.
-Conduct full range of social listening research including development of Boolean search term, coding and analysis of results and real-world recommendations based on insights
-Actively monitor prevailing sentiment on the web of a variety of clients.
-Develop benchmarks and goals based on past performance and industry standards.
-Monitor responses to content posted on the web and social media platforms.
-Keep pace with social media marketing industry trends and developments.
-Gather data from analytics tools (e.g., Sysomos, SPSS, Radian6, Brandwatch, Facebook Insights, Simply Measured) in a methodologically sound manner.
-Aggregation of content and managing posts for social media and web, on behalf clients over a range of industries.
-Group Management and follower engagement.
-Interns will also support project managers by collaborating on thought leadership initiatives.
Ideal candidates will:
-Have deep passion for social media, with measureable experience using social media data analysis tools, and stay ahead of the curve on industry developments.
-Execute social media research and measurement assignments with minimal supervision.
-Demonstrate a strong interest in and understanding of social media metrics and trends.
-Think strategically and be insightful with the ability to tell a story that converts data into actionable insights and business implications.
-Have very strong written and verbal communications skills and be comfortable communicating through Skype, E-mail, Google Docs, Facebook Messenger, and more.
-Possess strong analytical skills with understanding of statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions and developing actionable recommendations.
-Must feel comfortable learning new systems and tools.
-Must have an upbeat and energetic personality with a willingness to learn!
-Working towards a 4 year degree in Marketing, Statistics, or related field.
-Experience in the analysis of large data sets to find useful relationships (data mining).
-Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards utilizing all relevant data to inform decisions
-Experience with tools such as Radian6, Sysomos, Crimson Hexagon, Brandwatch, Traackr, Visible, Spredfast and others preferred.
-Comfortable using SPSS, and MS. Excel/word
-Proficient with Google Docs and collaborative software
