Highland Summer Writers' Conference

The Highland Summer Writers' Conference will have a new format this year.  The one-week intensive workshop will be team-taught by well-known guest writers, George Ella Lyon and Diane Gilliam. It offers the opportunity to study and practice creative and expository writing within the context of regional culture.  The course is graded on Pass/Fail basis for undergraduates and letter grades for graduate students. It may be taken twice for credit. The class runs Monday through Friday, July 15 - 19, 9 - 12 and 1:30-4:30, with readings and receptions by the visiting authors on Tuesday and Thursday evening in McConnell Library from 7:30-9:00. The evening readings are free and open to the public.
