The Math Education Content Area Studies concentration is a 36-hour program for:
- Licensed secondary Mathematics teachers
- Students with an undergraduate degree in a mathematics education licensure program
- Prospective college/university mathematics instructors
This program enhances secondary mathematics teachers’ knowledge for teaching while providing the mathematical content preparation required for teaching at a two-or four-year college. Contact Dr. Laura Jacobsen with specific questions about this concentration.

Additional Requirements
Masters Project (Math/Educ 650 course includes a final project that students must complete during their final semester in the program. Students may take this course in other semesters without completing the project.) Comprehensive examinations (oral and written product).
