The Office of Alumni Relations needs you! Internships or student work positions provide great opportunities to build your résumé and connect with alumni. You will hone your writing skills and gain experience in special events, social media management and general office work. You may even get to take a ride on a boat!

Radford University Ambassadors
The Radford University Ambassadors (RUA) serve as a link between students and alumni by striving to inspire Highlander pride among their fellow students and the Radford Alumni network, while also creating an awareness of the Radford University Alumni Association and its mission. RUA consists of a select group of undergraduate and graduate students. As a member of the RUA, you will make new friends, plan and execute campus events, learn about Radford University’s unique history, develop as a professional, participate in fun social activities, and network with campus administrators, faculty, staff and alumni.

The Russell Hall Alumni Center isn’t just for alumni! Take a few minutes to explore your future home-away-from-home while you are still a student. Come by Russell Hall, Suite 150 to meet the Office of Alumni Relations staff and learn about how we can help you achive your goals!
Golf Cart Giveaways
The best things in life are free and courtesy of the Radford University Alumni Association. As you walk across campus, be on the lookout for the Radford University Alumni Association golf cart. There will be free swag, a friendly smile and maybe even karaoke on board! Be sure to follow the Office of Alumni Relations on social media, so you’ll be the first to know when freebies are coming!
If you plan to travel or study abroad, visit the Office of Alumni Relations to connect with Radford University Alumni living across the globe. Radford University Alumni may be able to help you find a place to live, get a job and may also be willing to provide a home-cooked meal – after all, they are your Radford family.

Highlander Polar Plunge
You can take a dip in the New River and support Special Olympics by participating in the Highlander Polar Plunge. This great tradition lets you show your Highlander Pride while helping others! Participate individually, or with friends, and mingle with alumni during this great community outreach opportunity.
Alumni Legacy Stoles
If your parent, step-parent, grandparent, sibling, aunt or uncle graduated from Radford University, you are a Radford Alumni Legacy! You are invited to showcase your Radford family connection by wearing a Radford Legacy Stole during Commencement. Students will complete an exit interview with a member of the Office of Alumni Relations staff during the week prior to commencement to secure this special memento.
Alumni Legacy Picnic
If your parent, step-parent, grandparent, sibling, aunt or uncle graduated from Radford University, you are a Radford Alumni Legacy! All Radford Alumni Legacy students and their families are invited to take a break from moving-in and enjoy lunch in the Russell Hall Alumni Center. This is a great time to meet fellow members of the Radford family. These picnics take place in Russell Hall on the Thursday and Friday of fall semester's move-in week.
Alumni Career Networking
Many Radford University Alumni are eager to hire students for internships and jobs. You can connect with these alumni during career fairs and the Jumpstart Conference, as well as joining the Radford Alumni LinkedIn group. You can also utilize "Handshake" to connect with Radford Alumni.
You can put your best foot forward by making an appointment to have a free professional headshot taken by the Office of Alumni Relations. This complimentary service is offered at a variety of career related programs as well.
Highlanders are Social
By joining the Radford University Alumni Association social media sites, you will stay up to date on the activities, news and success of Radford University alumni. Many campus and regional events are open to current students and social media is a great way to stay informed about these opportunities.
