What is TAG Day?

TAG (Teaching Annual Giving) Day is a student-focused initiative that raises awareness and appreciation of the donors whose financial gifts enhance each student’s college experience. For this initiative on Radford University’s campus, tags will be strategically posted in buildings and around campus highlighting the impact of philanthropy, with a focus on alumni support.

What can YOU do?

Put your selfies to good use while learning how private support makes a difference in your Radford University experience! You could win a chance to have lunch with Radford University President Brian O. Hemphill or catch a basketball game with President Hemphill in the Dedmon Center’s “Best Seat in the House!”

On TAG Day, November 13, tags will be posted at various locations across campus that best exemplify how private donations make a difference to Radford University. Students are invited to take a selfie with as many tags as possible; view a list of all the tag locations.

Find and take a selfie with as many tags as possible.

  1. Follow @radfordu
  2. Post your TAG Day selfies to Instagram with the hashtag #radfordtagday
  3. Due to Instagram's privacy policy, your profile must be made public for your submission to count!

Each TAG Day selfie enters you into a raffle to reserve your spot to either watch a home men's basketball game with President Hemphill OR have lunch with the President. That's not all! The winner will also get to designate $1000 generously given by the Radford University Foundation and the Radford Fund to the club, team, program or department fund of their choice.

Have fun and make a difference. Take a selfie!

*The designated fund must be an existing fund managed by the Radford University Foundation.
