University Says 'Thank You' to Employees

Radford University recognized 95 employees and 15 retirees for their years of dedication during the annual Employee Service Awards program on Tuesday, May 1.

"The people in this room represent nearly every department and division at RU," said President Penelope W. Kyle as she welcomed guests to the event.  "Together, everything you do for this university makes us who we are."

Kyle presented certificates to employees who were recognized during the ceremony for a minimum of 10 years of service.  Seven employees were recognized for 35 years of service and three employees were recognized for 30 years.

Retirees were presented with a small clock engraved with “Radford University” and their name as an expression of gratitude.

Two employees also received the Presidential Service Award, which honors individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the university.
