In observance of Women's History Month, posters are on display across campus honoring distinguished women of Radford University.
The women whose photos and accomplishments are featured on the posters were selected based on their contributions to the university and their professional achievements, said Professor Moira Baker, director of the RU Women's Studies Program. Thirteen women are being recognized each week through the end of March.
With support from the provost's office, the Women's Studies Committee selected honorees based on nominations made by the deans of the colleges, staff members and students who are active in women's issues on campus.
"We are proud to highlight the accomplishments of these remarkable women," Baker said. "These students, faculty and staff members are inspirational models for all of us."
Below are the women featured during the final week of March.
