Radford University is governed by a 15-member board that was created under Virginia state law. Thirteen of the members are appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth and serve four-year terms. Each year the Board also selects a student and a faculty member to serve as advisory representatives on the Board.
The Board meets in regular session four times each year. The third meeting of each calendar year is considered the first meeting of the year and is designated as the Annual Meeting of the Board. Board meetings are held in the Board Room in Martin Hall.
The last meeting of the Board was held April 22-23, 2009. See BOV Sets Tuition, Supports Academic Program Review for a news release from that meeting.

The Board of Visitors Executive Committee met on Thursday, June 11, 2009, in Roanoke. See Board minutes at left for a link to minutes from that meeting.
