History of Pillow Rock
Pillow Rock is known as one of the most powerful and intimidating rapid on the Upper Gauley. Before entering into this rapid, make sure you listen to your rafting instructor carefully and know what your rafting route is. The main obstacle you will encounter during this ride is the Volkswagen Rock which you don't want to hit or your raft will be halfway underwater.
