Final Project Proposal
For my final project in this class, I will be creating a website to demonstrate how fun and exciting white water rafting is.
Proposal
- Client: Adventurous people wanting to find information out about an event of their lifetime.
- Purpose: Provide information about different white water rafting guides, in particular the company I went with, what safety and precautions these people will need to take, personal experiences that the audience can view (videos) and lastly what types of rapids they will encounter during this trip.
- Layout: Right now in my mind that layout of my website will be for all pages:
- A banner either using the West Virginia Gauley Bridge (Picture I took) in the background or a mixed of different blues and greens with text.
- Navigation bar right under the banner with either tab looking buttons or plain boxes navigating each of my other pages, and different rafting companies. (Probably Tabs)
- Contents with different images I took on my experience and some video I bought during my experience with descriptions.
- Footer: Created by Brittany Little on Date as an Assignment for Coms 326 Media Production at Radford University (similar to how I did on my other project) and links to the sites again.
- Website Pages Content:
- Page One: Description about different white water rafting companies, clients can choose from. Navigational links that when click the user goes to their site to either read more about or sign up to go white water rafting. This page will also have a detailed description about the company I went with and why they should choose them. I am thinking about putting pictures of different guides at this company and descript the guide I had on this trip. These descriptions will kind of serve as an advertisement for these companies.
- Page Two: Safety and precautions for people that want to go white water rafting and information on what sort of clothing to wear.
- Page Three: My Personal Experiences. On this page I will uses pictures and maybe part of a video to emphasize the experience.
- Page Four Through Nine: The "Big Five" rapids on the upper Gauley. Each page will describe one particular rapid and show my family and I going through this on video. The rapids I am going to be describing are Insignificant, Pillow Rock, Lost Paddle, Iron Ring and Sweet’s Falls.
- I might include a Page 10: using a video to show rafters what could happen to them if they don’t listen to their guide or if something goes wrong during their rafting experience.
