Annual Fund Report

Make Your Annual Gift by June 30
There still is time to join an elite list of donors who recognize the value of empowering Radford University with immediate cash resources to fund new ideas and initiatives as they emerge at the university. Through the Radford Fund you can direct your giving to those areas of the University for which you are most passionate. Funds received can be used immediately to meet Radford University's most important needs and priorities and support initiatives of RU's 7-17 strategic plan. The Radford Fund is the administrative umbrella for all the annual giving programs at RU and is the bridge that joins private support with the needs of the university.

What Can I Support?
RU Annual FundAre you a graduate of the College of Business and Economics who has a passion for the arts? Perhaps you majored in biology and played basketball. Through the Radford Fund, you may direct your support to any of your interests. You may also choose to leave a portion of your gift unrestricted, allowing Radford University the flexibility to direct funds to programs and projects with the greatest need. Make a gift before June 30 to any RU program of your choice.

The Annual Fund has a goal of $2.3 million and 4,000 alumni participants. As of May 31, we've raised $1,853,685 and have 3,306 alumni participants. Please help us reach our goal today.

Volunteer for Commonwealth Games, See a Free Concert

The Coventry Commonwealth Games of Virginia are July 17-19 in Roanoke and Lauren McMillan ’08 is calling on her fellow RU graduates for some assistance with the event’s Opening Ceremonies. McMillan, the Games’ director of operations, is asking volunteers to sport their RU gear and assist with either the athlete picnic, parade of athletes, seating athletes or directing people to their seats. For their hard work, volunteers will be treated to a special event. “After your task is done, you can sit back and enjoy a concert by American Idol finalist, Elliott Yamin,” McMillan said. “Then meet your fellow RU graduates afterward at the RU tent on Alumni Row.” This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Coventry Commonwealth Games. The Opening Ceremonies begin at 7:30 p.m. and volunteers are asked to be on site at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17, at the Roanoke Civic Center.
