"Highlander 5" Student Gift Challenge

Highlander 5 Challenge

Thank you, RU students!

Thanks to all the students who stepped up to support the "Highlander 5" Student Gift Challenge with a donation of $5. By accepting the challenge, students are showing their pride in the university that means so much to them. All "Highlander 5" gifts go to the Radford Fund, which supports the areas that affect students the most, like financial aid, study abroad programs, internships, campus programs and outstanding faculty.

All students who donate are entered to win a prize pack including a T-shirt, mug and $25 in gift cards good at Au Bon Pain, Papa John's, Wendy's, Chick-fil-A, Salsarita's, Starbucks, Wild Greens or Pinkberry. The drawing will be April 27.

If you would like to show your support of the Radford Fund, please visit us online today. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of University Advancement at (540) 831-5407 or email ruadvancement@radford.edu.

Farewell to Whitt

Whitt HallThe 2012 College of Business and Economics (COBE) graduating class invites you to join us as we say farewell to Whitt (and Davis, Downey and Fairfax — COBE's many departmental homes).

Please join the members of the COBE Advisory Council, SMIPO Board, COBE Student Advisory Board, faculty and staff for this celebration with prizes and refreshments. Enjoy this opportunity to share your memories of your business education at Radford University and celebrate with students on this special day, the last day of COBE classes in Whitt Hall — our home for over 60 years. It is our hope that through renovation and revitalization of Whitt Hall it will continue to serve the university and campus community for many years to come.

Visit us online at www.radford.edu/farewell-whitt to purchase a brick for COBE's impressive new home and to share your Whitt Hall memories and pictures. Please RSVP to Darlene Hill at dhill8@radford.edu or (540) 831-5481.

Together, let's mark the legacy of COBE excellence for the generations of alumni to come.

Fall Homecoming and Reunion Extravaganza: Oct. 5-6, 2012

Fall Homecoming

It's your weekend. It's your moment.

All alumni are invited back for RU's Fall Homecoming and Reunion Extravaganza. Alumni can take time to connect with classmates or meet new ones, enjoy college open houses to include the grand opening of the new College of Business and Economics building and take in the new spots on campus. Or simply take a breather under your favorite tree on campus. It's your Radford.

Honor the past, celebrate the future.

Classes celebrating a reunion this weekend are 1962, 1972, 1982 and 1992.

If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (888) 4RUGRAD or alumni@radford.edu. Stay current on all the weekend activities by visiting our website often, and don't forget to "like us" on Facebook.

Give Now

Each donor to Radford University has a special motivation for giving – what's your story?

We would like to hear from you about your reasons for giving. Please email us at alumni@radford.edu, and tell us. Whether your inspiration was a new program you heard about, an ongoing project you saw or a Radford student you met, we are interested. With your permission, we may select your story for one of our future publications. Thank you for your continued support and investing in Radford.
