Fall Homecoming and Reunion

homecoming 2011 We are only three months away from a wonderful weekend celebration. All you need to do is register and book your hotel… and leave the rest to us.

The Office of Alumni Relations has put together a jam-packed, fun-filled weekend for you and your family to enjoy. The weekend celebration will also consist of reunions for the following classes: '56, '61, '66, '71, '76, '81, '86, '91, '96, '01 and '06. By returning to your alma mater this October, you will enjoy showing your family the campus, meeting up with fellow classmates and enjoying the beauty of the New River Valley in the fall.

Fraternity Reunites in Richmond

Sigma Phi Epsilon lettersAlumni brothers from the Radford University chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon gathered in Richmond in June, renewing friendships with food, fun and golf.

The reunion went way beyond bonding. During their time together, the group launched the RU Sig Ep Brothers By the Wayside Fund, designed to help those who need assistance during life-changing events. Read more.
 

This Fall's Freshman Class to Be Radford's Largest

new students at QUESTRadford University is on track to enroll the largest freshman class in its history, admissions data indicate.

As of June 6, the university had received deposits from more than 2,100 freshmen for fall 2011. That is up 13 percent from the same date in 2010 and up 42 percent from 2009. Read more.
 

New Sponsors Boost Enrollment for Summer Bridge Program

student participants in Summer BridgeWhen Radford University's annual Summer Bridge Program (SBP) opened July 10, it brought 64 high school girls to campus, a sizable increase from participation by 40 girls in summer 2010.

The students – rising sophomores, juniors and seniors from across Virginia – studied science, technology and mathematics with Radford University professors during the weeklong residential program. Read more.
 

Mike Jones Named Head Men's Basketball Coach

Mens Head Basketball Coach Mike JonesMike Jones was officially introduced as the men's basketball head coach at Radford University in a press conference Wednesday, June 15, inside the Dedmon Center. Read more.

Jones also announced the additions of Kyle Getter, Chris Hawkins, Jon-David (JD) Byers and Aaron Marshall to his coaching staff.
