Whitt Hall

Whitt Hall has served a varied constituency on campus. It was built in 1929 as the McGuffey Training School. In 1952, the training school was transferred to the building presently named McGuffey Hall, and this building was renamed Whitt Hall for Mr. Jeremy Whitt, who for many years was the registrar of the college and also served as acting president on two occasions. When the training school was moved, Whitt Hall became the home of the Department of Education. In 1981 the building was renovated again and now houses the College of Business and Economics.
