Trinkle Hall, Floyd Hall, Stuart Hall, and Peery Hall make up what is known as the Governor's Quadrangle. These four residence halls each are named for former governors of the Commonwealth of Virginia who came from Southwest Virginia. This building houses approximately 150 students and is a smoke-free living environment. Trinkle was completed in 1965 and is named in honor of Elbert L. Trinkle, a native of Cedar Bluff in Tazewell County who was governor from 1922 to 1926. Trinkle Hall is themed to compliment the
College
of
Visual
and Performing Arts. Renovated in 2005, this building includes a dance floor, practice rooms, and an art studio. Additionally, Trinkle Hall provides easy access for physically challenged students.
