With its stately white columns and colonial architecture, the John Preston McConnell Library has come to symbolize the beautiful campus of Radford University. Named for the first president of Radford, the original library building was constructed in 1932, with additions in 1965 and also in 1994 to meet the growing needs of the university's student body. Presently it contains a growing collection of more than 500,000 volumes. The University's administrative Computer Services Office is housed in the basement of the building. For more information on what the library has to offer, visit the McConnell Library web page.
