Floyd Hall

Floyd Hall, Stuart Hall, Trinkle Hall, and Peery Hall make up what is known as the Governor's Quadrangle. These four residence halls each are named for former governors of the Commonwealth of Virginia who came from Southwest Virginia. Each building houses approximately 150 students. Floyd Hall, named for John B. Floyd of Wytheville, who served as governor from 1849 to 1852, houses honors students who are invited to live in this hall by the Honors Academy. Floyd Hall is a smoke-free living environment.  Renovated in 2002, this building provides easy access for physically challenged students.
