The need for clinic space for the communication sciences and disorders program and additional space for the nursing and computer science programs led the university to plan and build Davis Hall. It was decided that a structure filling in space between Young Hall and McGuffey Hall would be the most logical site for the new facilities. Completed in 1987, the building was named for Mr. George M. Davis, who was rector of the Board of Visitors from 1982 to 1987. The building houses classrooms, laboratories, laboratories, auditory clinic space, faculty offices and a large teaching auditorium. Located here are the College of Information Science and Technology, and Economics.
